## What Is Free, and What You Actually Pay For (updated 31 August 2026)
**WhatsApp messages themselves are free on Thikaa.** You connect your own number
with a QR scan — the same mechanism as WhatsApp Web — so messages go through your
own WhatsApp account rather than Meta's paid WhatsApp Business Platform. There is
no per-message fee, and no Meta billing account is required.

Thikaa subscription plans include bot conversations: 10,000 monthly on Starter, 20,000 on Professional, and 40,000 on Enterprise. Bot replies carry no per-conversation charge.

By contrast, Meta's two routes are both paid: the WhatsApp Business API bills per
message (price varies by country), and Meta's own AI agent runs on top of that
same paid API — message fees first, Meta's AI pricing on top. From 1 October 2026
Meta also begins charging for service replies inside the 24-hour customer-service
window on the Business Platform. On Thikaa's QR route those replies stay free.
