Arabic Chatbot That Understands Dialect, Voice and Images - Thikaa
Arabic chatbot

An Arabic chatbot that answers the way your customers actually write

Your customers do not write in Modern Standard Arabic. They write in Gulf, Egyptian, Levantine, Iraqi and Maghrebi, they mix in English, they type in Latin letters, and very often they do not type at all — they send a voice note or a screenshot. A bot that only reads clean written Arabic misses most of them.

🎤 voice note, 6 seconds — Egyptian"the black one in the story, is it available and how much?"
Yes, available 👍 The black one is 480 EGP, and delivery to Cairo is 75.answered from the merchant's own catalog — not a guess

Dialect is not a language setting

It is whether the reply sounds like a person from here

Most "Arabic support" means the model was trained on enough Arabic to translate into it. The reply comes back grammatically correct and unmistakably foreign — the kind of formal phrasing nobody uses in a shop. Customers notice immediately, and a customer who notices they are talking to a machine stops asking and leaves.

Gulf"وش أسعاركم" is a price question, not a complaint. "أبغى" and "أبي" are the same request.
Egyptian"بكام" and "عايز" carry the whole intent. "ده" and "دي" point at the product in the last message.
Levantine"شو" and "قدّيش" open most conversations. "بدي" is a request, not a wish.
Iraqi"شكد" and "اكو" decide the answer. "هسه" means now, and changes what the customer is asking for.
MaghrebiFrench mixes into the sentence, and the numbers are often written in Latin digits.
Arabizi"3ndk" and "b2am" are Arabic typed in Latin letters and numbers. Read, not rejected.

Most Arabic customers do not type

They send a voice note or a photo, and that is where most bots stop

🎤 Voice notes, both directions

A voice note is transcribed in the dialect it was spoken in, answered like any other message, and the bot can reply with a voice note of its own. Not "please type your question instead".

📷 Photos and screenshots

Customers shop by screenshot — of your own post, of a competitor, of something they saw once. The bot matches the photo against your catalog and answers with that product's real price.

💬 Your own wording, word for word

Saved replies you wrote can be handed to the bot and sent verbatim, with their photos and voice notes. A bot can even be set to answer only from them and stay silent otherwise.

The number a bot must never invent

A chatbot that makes up a price does more damage than one that says nothing. It commits your business to a number you never agreed, in writing, to a customer who will hold you to it. Prices here come from your catalog or from replies you wrote. Guards block a quoted number that traces back to no source, and a bot can be locked to answer only from your own saved replies — matching one sends your exact wording, matching nothing sends nothing at all.

Three ways onto WhatsApp

All on the same inbox and the same bot

Official WhatsApp Business API

Meta's Cloud API. Green tick eligible, guaranteed throughput, message templates, a formal SLA. Onboarded through Meta Embedded Signup.

Business App Coexistence

An official Meta feature. Keep the WhatsApp Business app on the phone, the same number and the whole chat history, while the AI answers on that number through the Cloud API.

QR pairing on your own number

The same mechanism as WhatsApp Web. No per-message fee, no Meta billing account, no business verification. A scan and about two minutes.

Instagram, Facebook, Telegram and TikTok land in the same inbox.

What it costs

From $9.99 a month for WhatsApp, and $19.99 to add Instagram, Facebook, Telegram and TikTok. AI usage is $1 per 1,000 conversations, and a conversation is counted once however many times the bot replies.

Questions people ask

Which Arabic dialects does it handle?

Gulf, Egyptian, Levantine, Iraqi and Maghrebi, plus Modern Standard Arabic and Arabizi written in Latin letters. It answers in whichever one the customer wrote in, rather than translating everything into formal Arabic.

Can it understand Arabic voice notes?

Yes, and it can reply with one. A large share of MENA customers send voice instead of typing, so a text-only bot simply misses them.

Do I need the official WhatsApp Business API?

Only if you want it. All three routes are supported and run on the same inbox and the same bot, so it is a business decision rather than a platform limit.

Will it invent a price it was never given?

It is built not to. Prices come from your catalog or from replies you wrote, guards block a number that traces to no source, and a bot can be locked to answer only from your own saved replies.

How long does setup take?

Connecting WhatsApp by QR is a scan and about two minutes. Making the bot genuinely useful takes longer, because it needs your prices, your policies and your wording — and that part is what decides whether customers get real answers.
